Unit CommissionersMany Durham Scouting units currently don't have Unit Commissioners.  Unit Commissioners are friends, representatives, doctors, teachers, and counselor to BSA units.  They are key liaisons between the District and our Scouts and Scouters in the field.  If you are an experienced Scouter that would like help ensure the health of Durham Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, and Venture Crews, please contact District Commissioner Jeff Mixon for more information.
Members-at-LargeThe District Committee is always look for folks willing to help advance Scouting's aims in Durham County.  Please contact District Chairman Matt Nash if you are interested in helping!
Civic Service Committee MembersLooking for two Scouters to be part of a committee that helps communicate and coordinate Civic Service project opportunities throughout the Mawat District.  Please contact Civic Service Chair Tony Campione if you are interested in being part of this team.
STEM/Nova Committee MembersLooking for Scouters to be part of a committee that helps train adults and coordinate opportunities for Scouts to earn the BSA STEM Awards (Nova and Supernova). Specifically, we would like people to help at the Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing/Sea Scout levels. Contact STEM/Nova Chair Tanner Lovelace if you are interested in being a part of this team.
